What Is The Black Forge and Where Is It Located?

I’ve heard a little bit about something called the Black Forge. I was wondering what this is and where is it located.

The Black Forge is located right before the bridge that leads into the old Molten Core entrance, right after the room of The Seven. When you leave the room of The Seven, hang a right, and then your first left, and you’ll see a small bridge that leads up to a single Fireguard Destroyer. You’ll find the Black Forge right behind it. You can get the quest “Attunement to the Core” so you can get attuned to enter the core solo, but you should have a high fire resistance gear to enter it or do it with a group.

The Black Forge is actually the only place in Azeroth where you can smelt Dark Iron Ore into Dark Iron Bars. This is the reason that Dark Iron Bars are so expensive on the auction house. So, before you head to the Black Forge, make sure that you have all the Dark Iron Ore you need so you can smelt many bars at once. It will take you 8 Dark Iron Ores to make 1 Dark Iron Bar.

But, smithing isn’t the only profession that uses the Black Forge. Enchanters have to use the Black Forge if they want to make the Smoking Heart of the Mountain, which requires at Enchanting 265 to make.
