What Are Lucky Charms and Where Can I Find Them?

I keep hearing about lucky charms and how they are useful. At first I thought someone was pulling my leg but the more I hear about them the more I wonder what are lucky charms and probably more importantly, where can I find them?
Well, there are two different definitions for “lucky charms”.
The “lucky charms” that you can find and pick up are found by rogues. These are pickpocketed from humanoids that are between levels 21-31. These stack in groups of 5 and are used to make Pilferer’s Gloves in Leatherworking. So, you can sell them on the auction house to leatherworkers that aren’t rogues for a good price. These gloves are used by level 23+ and provide a boost in agility.
The other “lucky charms” are those raid target icons that group leaders can place above mob’s heads – such as the skull, cross, moon, and square.
