How Do I Change My WoW Tailoring Specialization?
Posted on February 13, 2008 by ApadweI have mistakenly picked up the wrong tailoring specialty and I want to change it. Also what are the different tailoring specialties that I can choose?
When you are at the level to choose your tailoring specialty, you should take the time to look at the different recipes and see which ones would benefit you most. All of the specialties will allow you to make a different of cloth armor that is bind on pickup, each offering a different resistance and the ability to create different cloths.
The three tailoring specialties are:
1.Mooncloth Tailoring – Used for healing and allows you to make the Primal Mooncloth set.
2.Shadoweave Tailoring – Used for shadow and frost resistance, and allows you to make the Shadow's Embrace set.
3.Spellfire Tailoring – Used for fire and arcane resistance, and allows you to make the Wrath of Spellfire set.
Look at which one will provide you with the most benefit, not just which one will make you the most money on the auction house. Choose carefully, because it will take a while to rebuild up a specialty if you want to change.
If you find that you do want to change your tailoring specialty, have no fear, it can be done. Changing your tailoring specialty is not hard, but it is a costly process. It will cost you 150 gold to unlearn a specialization, and another 20 gold to learn whichever new specialization you want. Keep in mind that when you change your specialization and unlearn one, you won't be able to make those items any longer.

Jsut to add another note: keep in mind that when you swap specialties, you cant wear your other gear either.
So, if you go shadow, and make a nice set of shadoweave gear, once you swap, you wont be able to wear it anymore.
Buddy of mine is swapping shadow to mooncloth, so he's stocking up on mooncloth so that when he does swap, he can make a comparable set quickly.
just another fyi
