I just got my first mount at level 40 and I think it would be really neat to start collecting mounts in the game. I want to know how I can get different mounts from the other races in the game?

Collecting World of Warcraft mounts can be a really fun thing to do and a great way to show off to friends as well. Luckily, it is fairly straight forward and "easy" to get different race mounts. All you need to do is become exalted with that race's capital city. For example, if you are an Orc and want to get the Troll's raptor mount you will have to become exalted with the Darkspear Trolls.

Pretty simple, but yet can be somewhat time consuming to do getting exalted with all the factions. Anyway, defiantly a great reward for all the hard work associated with it. It is important to note that these are not all the mounts that you can get in the game but just the main ones that each race can start off with.

Here is a list of all the different kinds of mounts you can get by becoming exalted with the capital cities:

Horde
Hawkstrider - Blood Elf mount (Requires exalted with Silvermoon City for the other races)
Kodo - Tauren mount (Requires exalted with Thunder Bluff for the other races)
Raptor - Troll mount (Requires exalted with Darkspear Trolls for the other races)
Undead Steed - Undead mount (Requires exalted with Undercity for the other races)
Wolf - Orc mount (Requires exalted with Orgrimmar for the other races)

Alliance
Elekk - Draenei mount (Requires exalted with Exodar for the other races)
Horse - Human mount (Requires exalted with Stormwind for the other races)
Mechano-strider - Gnome mount (Requires exalted with Gnomeregan Exiles for the other races)
Nightsaber - Night Elf mount (Requires exalted with Darnassus for the other races)
Ram - Dwarf mount (Requires exalted with Ironforge for the other races)
