What Is The Best Shaman Leveling Build In WoW?

I just started leveling a World of Warcraft Shaman and so far I like it, even though the leveling is going pretty slow. I know there is a better build out there but i'm really all out of ideas. What is the best WoW Shaman leveling build out there?

Good choice on choosing a Shaman to play. They can both be really good healers as well as dish out some major DPS.

There isn't any single best build that you can use. A lot of it depends on your playing style and what you want to accomplish with your character.

Since right now you are looking to level up to 70 as quickly as possible I recommend going with an Enhancement build. This will let you to be able to kill monsters quickly and easily which will ultimately help you level faster.

From level 10-14, you will want to put 5 points in Ancestral Knowledge which will help increase the size of your mana pool. At the first level it doesn't seem like much but later on and with 5 points in it, it will be easy to see how it can increase your mana pool by 300-500 mana.

Levels 15-19 your favorite talent will be Thundering Strikes which will also get 5 points in it. That will give you 5% chance to gain a critical strike with your weapon. Take my word for it….crits are fun! :)

Level 20 go for the Two-Handed Axes and Maces skill. Two-Handed weapons always mean more dps.

Next up you will want to go Enhancing Totems for 2 points (levels 21-22).

Levels 23-24, go for Improved Ghost Wolf for 2 points. This will help reduce the cast time of Ghost Wolf, being this a great way to get places faster before having a mount.

Levels 25-29, Flurry will be your best friend as a talent. You will want 5 points in it as it helps increase your attack speed with that Two-Handed weapon.

Level 30 put 1 point into Spirit Weapons. Elemental Weapon will be the next talent to put points in at levels 31-33. Put all 3 points into it. It also is another great way to keep adding some more DPS output.

From there 1 point in Improved Weapon Totems (lvl 34) will be enough in order to get us to the next skill which is Weapon Mastery. 5 points in that from levels 35-39.

Level 40 we will learn Dual Wield which is kinda the heart and soul of a DPS Shaman. Putting a point in Dual Wield will start to get you ready to use Stormstrike in a few levels.

Of course with Dual Wielding being so big at levels 41-43 Dual Wield Specialization will become your friend with all 3 points into it.

Finally at lvl 44 we are ready to use Stormstrike. You will love this talent as it lets you instantly attack with both weapons and also increases Nature damage by 20% for the next 2 sources.

Unleashed Rage is next at levels 45-49. Be sure to put all 5 points in it. It will be able to increase damage for your party by 10% for 10 seconds.

Shamanistic Rage gets 1 point in it at level 50. That pretty much does it for the enhancement tree. These next talents will really help support your main enhancement tree.

Use Tidal Focus from levels 51-55 with all 5 points as it will reduce your mana cost by 5% for your healing spells.

Next from 56-60 use Totemic Focus to reduce the mana cost of your totems by 25% with all 5 points in it.

That pretty much will take care of you all the way to level 60. At this point you can kinda put points where they will be best suited for your play style. Here are a few more talents you can play with that will get your build all the way to level 70.

Nature's Guidance 3/3 Totemic Mastery 1/1 Healing Focus 5/5 Improved Weapon Totems 2/2

That should pretty much do it and before I forget here is a link to the build so you can actually see it and you can actually play with it some to get it to the style you feel most comfortable with.

Great Guide, thank you! Although it seems to me as if you forgot to mention to go for Shamanistic Focus at level 20 which is very useful in my opinion.
