I really have enjoyed playing The Burning Crusade so far. It has really brought me back into the game after not playing for 6 months. I would really like to know if Blizzard will be releasing more WoW expansions in the future.

I, too, have enjoyed playing the Burning Crusade so far and I have wondered the same exact question you have. I'm sure that question will be on the mind of millions of World of Warcraft players around the world.

As of right now there hasn't really been any "official" news from Blizzard stating there would be more or there wouldn't be more. I have found an interview dated back to August of 2006 with the Blizzard COO, Paul Sams. (That interview was done by GamesIndustry.biz. On a side note, I could only find the highlights to the interview but not the full interview.)

In that interview he stated that Blizzard was planning on releasing a new expansion to World of Warcraft every year. That may sound extremely hopeful but keep in mind that he also stated that The Burning Crusade would be out before Christmas of 2006.

After following the success of The Burning Crusade I really do think Blizzard will do what it can to get more expansions out to the WoW community. Personally, I don't know if they will be able to crank out expansions that quick (once a year) but I do think we will be seeing more.

Just keep in mind this next statement: Bottom line is that Blizzard is a company and they want to make profits…TBC made tons of profits and it really only makes sense to have more WoW expansions released.

We can't predict the future but as long as Blizzard makes games I will be playing them.
