Goto the OFFICIAL wow forums and you will see, addons are perfectly fine to use according to the EULA. So yeah being banned CAN happen to anyone... thats giving blizz a reason. They were pretty good about turning it back on when I informed them that if I had been warned I would have simply stopped using it. I didn't get to a very high level, and I wasn't farming... so be warned it can happen to anyone.
