What Is The Best Collection of WoW Addons?

Posted on March 20, 2007 by Apadwe

I just started using WoW addons and I have fallen into downloading and installing tons of them. It's kinda like an addiction. Some I have found useful and others I have not. I was wondering what you thought were the best addons that can be used together.

I know exactly how you feel. I, myself, was caught up in that trap for a long time it seemed. Trying out tons of new addons and yet not quite finding ones that I was happy with. Luckily I eventually found out what I believe are the best WoW addons that will help you out the most.

The first addon on my list is Auctioneer. I do a whole lot of buying and selling items on the Auction House and this is a vital must have tool. It tells you cool information like price history of items and tons of other stuff.

The second addon that I use every time I play World of Warcraft is Titan Panel. This is really a "collection" of different addons put together and is, in my opinion, the best WoW addon collection. If you are really new to using addons I would recommend you install this one first just to see what it can really do for you.

I also use the Cartographer addon which is a map addon. It does all kinds of cool things with the map as well as marking the locations of vendors, different herb spots and mining spots as well. It also tells you what instances are in the area and what level you will have to be in order to go there.

The other map addon I use is called Atlas. The cool part about this map addon is it will show you maps of instances so you won't have to rely totally on your memory when going through an instance and it will also let you know where to go if you have never been in that instance before.

These are the four main addons that I use together everyday I play WoW. They have made a lot of things easier for me and hopefully these WoW addons are ones that you are looking for and will help you out as well.

I have been searching today, and with my experience I came with the following addons.

**Adviceable**
- Titanpanel (some extra info and easyness) –> http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/618/
- Itemrack (to make item sets) –> http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/1482/
- Auctioneer (for easy selling / auctioning) –> http://wow.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=TTHUIRepository&func=displayI&pinUIID=58
- Flightmap (to see on the map for each zone where you can fly to) –> http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/638/
- MapNotes (making it possible to put notes on the world map and Atlas) –> http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/4116/#files
- Atlas (to see a map of the instance, and its bosses) –> http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/354/
- AtlasLootEnhanced (to see the loot of bosses) –> http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/2983/

**Optional**
- MapGatherer (to remember location of herbs and mining spots) –> http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/24/
- HealBot (for creating combo's in healing and buffs, and much more) –> http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/3802/
- Recount (a dps meter, to see damage done by you and your party members) –> http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/8840/

I didn't choose for Cartographer as I read on curse-gaming.com that this addon is giving a lot errors and trouble lately… If it didn't I would definatly want to use this one (reading all its cool features).

Nice list! Oh and don't forget Omen, especially if you are raiding. It is a better coded threat meter than KTM and uses less memory to operate.

You can download it here:

two of my favourite addons are:
one bag - it shows all of your bags in one bag
Quest helper - this is a awesome add on it tells you everyhing you need to know about the quests you have started, the other good thing is it won't show quests that theres no way you can do, it also tells you how old it thinks it will take you to complete that quest.

you can get these addons and more at:

IMHO the best addons (especially for warlocks) are necrosis, DOTimer, servitude, smart buff/debuff, cartographer, lightheaded/doublewide, WIM, auctioneer classic, skillet, autoprofit, baggins, pitbull/xperl, Trinity2, mobinfo2, along with a few others. 8-)

i tend to change my addons. using a set for lvling and a set for raiding on my main and a set for pvp. really easy to use and do, just makes life easyer.
all u g2 do is collect all ur addons in one file (obviosuly unzip them first) then split them in2 3 seperate files. when u need the required addon set drag it into the wow addon file and hey presto 3 sets of easy addons.
however imo there r several addons no one should go without. these r :

PEARL (awsome interface nothing i have found beats it so far)
OMEN (or at least a threat meter. not essential at low lvls but is a must when raiding. alternitivly c what threat meter ur guild uses.)
QUEST HELPER (this addon is one of a kind and priceless. dont rely need at 70 but a must when lvling.)
TRINITY BARS (this addon is awsome for those extra side bars as u can edit where u want them to go and u can chose how many bars or slots u want. Trinity also has an amazing key binding system much easyer 2 use than the original blizzard one.
BAGNON (all bags in one panel saves time and effort instead of searching throguh all ur bags 1 at a time looking for an item)
ATLAS (this is great for instances and means you dont have to descover areas on maps. works well with quest helper.)
GATHERER (only really eny use if ur a miner or herbalist. however if u r saves u hours of flying or riding around looking for herbs)

I dont really suggest cartographer because its cords system does not really work we with cords on websites like wow head etc.

there r a few other addons that r nice to have like titan panels and auctioneer but these r not vital.

Deadly boss mob ( the latest version) will only work if u r party or raid leader so is pretty usless if u r nither, however it is essential for every raid leader to have it without a shade of dought.

Hope this clears things up a bit :)
(these r my own personal opinions so eny suggestions r more than welcome :P)
(all addons i have r downloaded from curse)

happy ganking

Sorry quick edit on that last post :) posted it l8 couple of nights ago and just reread it and i have written down the wrong addon under ATLAS.

Atlas is infact a great addon that shows you all possiable loot for that instance and boss, brilliant for planning where to go and what to aim for ^^
