I am really curious and we all know that curiousity killed the cate but anyway, I have always been wondering about the World of Warcraft population and if there was any addons out there that will be able to show me a World of Warcraft census of my server or any WoW server.

Yeah, curiousity did kill the cat but lucky for you we have a great answer for that question! I have yet to find a great purpose for having the WoW census data and one problem with this kind of data is that it can sometimes be unreliable. The census data will give you a count of number of players on a server, guilds, races, classes and just about any information that you want from guilds to players.

Anyway, there is actually a World of Warcraft website that shows you the World of Warcraft census information and they collect so much data I bet it really is pretty accurate. The website is called WarcraftRealms.com and they have been up and collecting data since World of Warcraft was first released.

They also have a WoW census addon that you might like to check out as well. You can install this addon and it will be able to show you census data in-game as well as gather data of the WoW population off of your server. That will help give accurate information for everyone that uses their website.

The downside to using the addon to scan the World of Warcraft population on your server is that it does take some time to do but if you like the census data and want to support them I believe that doing WoW census scans will help them out the most.

WoW census data is always fun to look around at and I just recently found out that 19% of my server are night elf and the Alliance outweighs the Horde 61% to 39%. It will also show you the top guilds on your server.
