Can I Play World of Warcraft Again After Being Permanently Banned?

Posted on May 11, 2007 by Apadwe

I just got permanently banned from World of Warcraft and I want to know if I will ever be able to play WoW again?

It is never fun to be banned from World of Warcraft especially permanently banned from the game. I haven't been banned before myself but, luckily, I do know some people that have been permanently banned from the game but have been able to start playing again.

The bad part to this is you will have to get a new CD key. Maybe I should say new CD keys since you will need to buy a new copy of the original game as well as the Burning Crusade if you want to access Outlands or the new races. You can also buy the CD keys online which will save you a trip to the store. Here are a couple links you can check out:

World of Warcraft new account code (North American and Oceanic Edition)

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade North America and Oceanic Edition

For most ban cases getting a new CD key would be all you needed to do but if you have been permanently banned you will probably want to put a different name and/or address with the account as well as a new credit card number. (DISCLAIMER: This information is for educational purposes only and I take no responsibility if you do act upon this information.) Getting permission to setup an account in someone else's name that lives with you is a good way to go as long as they give you permission to setup a World of Warcraft account in their name.

If you used a credit card to pay for WoW time before you will not want to use that same card. The easiest way around getting a brand new credit card is buying WoW game cards instead. I have a link below where I get my game cards for my World of Warcraft accounts.

World of Warcraft 60 day game time code (North America and Oceanic Edition)

For probably 98 percent of all cases just getting a new CD key will let you play again if you got banned and possibly even permanently banned. It really just depends on what you did in order to get banned in the first place and how "bad" it is according to Blizzard.

Kelly @ 11:09 am:

I, Too, was recently banned from WoW for "exploiting the games economy". I am yet to receive any response except the bot response canned e-mails a week later. I believe my ban was a result of this:
While playing my lvl 70 Dwarf Hunter, was whispered by a "Jessicavipss" (A lvl 24 Priest)asking for help. I responded as to what they needed help with…Long silence, then Jessicavipss responded, "Did you not get my e-mail?"
Me, "No"
Jessicavipss, "Lol…Guess I will resend it."
Two minutes later, I recieve an e-mail from Jessicavipss offering gold on game4power .com. I clicked the report spam option on the e-mail and go about my drudgery. About two weeks later, I get another e-mail from Jessicavipss, but decide maybe I should hold on to this one if Blizz wants to ask me any questions about who this person is I am reporting. Sits in my mailbox for about a week and one day while flying on the "Pigeon" from Shatt to Netherstorm, I decide to see what this hub-bub is all about on gold sellers and visit the website. Truthfully, this is the only time I have ever visited a website and no, I have NEVER bought gold for WoW. I kinda look around and see what they are selling gold for, but did NOT buy any gold or any other item/services listed to even remotely indicate the "Actus Reus" to validate banning the account. 3 days later, I go to log onto my account and it is banned. I have demanded evidence to substantiate their claim as to how I "exploited the economy" and if I find that they are utilizing a program that gather info about my online activities while playing, I will be filing a lawsuit for invasion of privacy. True, they can censor what I do while IN GAME, what I do outside of WoW, as in which websites I choose to visit on my web browser, is of no business of theirs.
If I am banned for someone sending me an e-mail twice to which I never responded to and even reported, I again will be either demanding repayment for the current months subscription or they can choose to pay my legal fees as well from a lawsuit over $15.99. BTW, I am an attorney and the US Consumer Protection Act DOES provide that if a paid service is denied without SUBSTANTIAL evidence of violation of the terms of service/EULA, a refund for the amount of unused time is mandatory.
As far as playing WoW again, I came across free servers for WoW. I cannot nor do I make any claim as to the legality of this practice, but just Google "Free World of Warcraft server" and you are on your own from there.

Blizzard does have a program that runs in the background while WoW is running. It is called Warden and as far as I know it will scan the open processes on your computer while playing WoW. You can search for "Warden" on Google and will probably get a whole lot of information on it.
