Can I Play World of Warcraft Again After Being Permanently Banned?

I just got permanently banned from World of Warcraft and I want to know if I will ever be able to play WoW again?

It is never fun to be banned from World of Warcraft especially permanently banned from the game. I haven’t been banned before myself but, luckily, I do know some people that have been permanently banned from the game but have been able to start playing again.

The bad part to this is you will have to get a new CD key. Maybe I should say new CD keys since you will need to buy a new copy of the original game as well as the Burning Crusade if you want to access Outlands or the new races. You can also buy the CD keys online which will save you a trip to the store. Here are a couple links you can check out:

World of Warcraft new account code (North American and Oceanic Edition)

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade North America and Oceanic Edition

For most ban cases getting a new CD key would be all you needed to do but if you have been permanently banned you will probably want to put a different name and/or address with the account as well as a new credit card number. (DISCLAIMER: This information is for educational purposes only and I take no responsibility if you do act upon this information.) Getting permission to setup an account in someone else’s name that lives with you is a good way to go as long as they give you permission to setup a World of Warcraft account in their name.

If you used a credit card to pay for WoW time before you will not want to use that same card. The easiest way around getting a brand new credit card is buying WoW game cards instead. I have a link below where I get my game cards for my World of Warcraft accounts.

World of Warcraft 60 day game time code (North America and Oceanic Edition)

For probably 98 percent of all cases just getting a new CD key will let you play again if you got banned and possibly even permanently banned. It really just depends on what you did in order to get banned in the first place and how “bad” it is according to Blizzard.

I, Too, was recently banned from WoW for “exploiting the games economy”. I am yet to receive any response except the bot response canned e-mails a week later. I believe my ban was a result of this:
While playing my lvl 70 Dwarf Hunter, was whispered by a “Jessicavipss” (A lvl 24 Priest)asking for help. I responded as to what they needed help with…Long silence, then Jessicavipss responded, “Did you not get my e-mail?”
    Me, “No”
Jessicavipss, “Lol…Guess I will resend it.”
Two minutes later, I recieve an e-mail from Jessicavipss offering gold on game4power .com. I clicked the report spam option on the e-mail and go about my drudgery. About two weeks later, I get another e-mail from Jessicavipss, but decide maybe I should hold on to this one if Blizz wants to ask me any questions about who this person is I am reporting. Sits in my mailbox for about a week and one day while flying on the “Pigeon” from Shatt to Netherstorm, I decide to see what this hub-bub is all about on gold sellers and visit the website. Truthfully, this is the only time I have ever visited a website and no, I have NEVER bought gold for WoW. I kinda look around and see what they are selling gold for, but did NOT buy any gold or any other item/services listed to even remotely indicate the “Actus Reus” to validate banning the account. 3 days later, I go to log onto my account and it is banned. I have demanded evidence to substantiate their claim as to how I “exploited the economy” and if I find that they are utilizing a program that gather info about my online activities while playing, I will be filing a lawsuit for invasion of privacy. True, they can censor what I do while IN GAME, what I do outside of WoW, as in which websites I choose to visit on my web browser, is of no business of theirs.
If I am banned for someone sending me an e-mail twice to which I never responded to and even reported, I again will be either demanding repayment for the current months subscription or they can choose to pay my legal fees as well from a lawsuit over $15.99. BTW, I am an attorney and the US Consumer Protection Act DOES provide that if a paid service is denied without SUBSTANTIAL evidence of violation of the terms of service/EULA, a refund for the amount of unused time is mandatory.
As far as playing WoW again, I came across free servers for WoW. I cannot nor do I make any claim as to the legality of this practice, but just Google “Free World of Warcraft server” and you are on your own from there.

Blizzard does have a program that runs in the background while WoW is running. It is called Warden and as far as I know it will scan the open processes on your computer while playing WoW. You can search for “Warden” on Google and will probably get a whole lot of information on it.

to what the guy above said about wow watching him, they do watch what you do while you use world of warcraft also i heard from a friend before that they sometimes throw ads in trade to try and catch people trying to buy gold cant confirm anything but as for the watching what you do, it is within moderation and you agree to it in the terms and agreements, as for needing to put a different name for your new WoW account after being permanently banned i believe you dont need to i have had a couple perma ban’s and still use all my same info

    To the lawyer:

For someone that knows a lot about law I’d think you would have read the EULA and TOS that basically tell you that by agreeing, you’re allowing them to run software on your machine to enforce compliance with said EULA and TOS. The Warden is monitoring you and you’ve already given them the right to do so. Good luck with that lawsuit.

I have just had my Account permanently banned for buying gold in game. I am going to be honest here – I am a 63 year old disabled person suffering quite severe depression & WOW has been my salvation in escaping many problems. I must admit I had no idea that my Account could be banned for such actions having never read the Rules & Regulations of WOW (I mean who does read the small print).

I have 2 level 70 Alliance chars, 1 level 80 & 64 Horde and a number of other chars that has taken me over 2 years to build up and I am totally devastated beyond belief to the point I am virtually suicidal over this.

I immediately emailed Blizzard explaining above (from reading stuff since seems I should not have admitted anything) but I felt being totally honest about it was the best policy. If I do not get unbanned my life really is over, I cannot imagine having to start all over again with a new Account.

What am I going to do? Are there pc hackers that can hack into Blizz and reverse the ban? I will go to any lengths to get my Account back I am desperate.

I just got banned for exploiting the ecomony! I never ever do anything to exploit the economy. I never have looked at buying gold online. I have no idea what I did wrong. I didn’t have level 70s or 80s like some of you, but my level 45 was really important to me. I spent a lot of time on her. The only thing I can think of is I sold cat carriers on the auction house, but isn’t that what the auction house is for?- to make gold? I even gave free gold to young characters so that they could recieve mounts right at level 30!! I think it’s a big scam to make money. Now I would have to buy another cd. I am getting married in 10 days, and honestly, I can hardly afford wow – much less, another cd. If someone can tell me how to get them to unban me, let me know!! PLEASE!

You can get your account unbanned, but it involves sending them alot of infomation about yourself, giving them all the details of the account and everything that had something to do with the account, and on top of all that, they may not even Review your dispute because ” they are so busy ” or whatever they think.. i dont know what the big deal is about buying gold or what not, alot of MMO’s are based on Buying gold to survive, or going the hard way and making it.. its your money you decide what you want to use it on.. and you should be able to do just that.. technically wow cannot view what your looking at out side of wow, because like the lawyer guy said, its violation of privacy, and not even the goverment can do that – if they COULD, then they would be encouraging HACKERS.. they all need to lead by example… best way is to make a new char, maybe recruit friend, and level up that way..

  8. Brennen says:

Yeh i bought gold but it wasn’t botted, its basically buying gold from a friend then they get on and you trade them, and i got permanently banned which kinda pisses me off because i have a 77 that i worked my ass off for for 3 years now. Blizzard shouldn’t be able even to ban you because your paying $41 a month for a stupid game and and i have question for anybody who can answer this, once you get permanently banned can you EVER get back on that account, P.S !@$# YOU BLIZZARD !@#$% ‘S

  9. Charles says:

HI, I really love playing warcraft. I was working my #$@ off to get my first character to lvl 70 the level cap at the time and then the expansion came out 2 weeks later, FML. I have never played that character since, I was honestly mentalley drained from that experience. From then on its been Chinese labor doing the dirty leveling work and I get to have fun killing alliance at lvl 80. I was kind of stressing out about my account getting banned until I read your guys info on how easy it is to get a new account. That is what I would advise you to do Tina before you kill your-self. Drop like 200 bucks and get your life back.

    ^ Wrongfully Banned ^
I was dedicated WoW almost 2 yrs, never bought gold, never shared account info with a single soul, Never sold gold lol, Account was hacked recently I logged on to find No lvl 80s (had 2) my lvl 51 warlock I was lvling gone, several alts one of each class between lvls 28-46 all gone, gold, Gear, Honor, Achievements everything except one DK I made on a friends realm just to say whats up from time to time. Almost two yrs of my time wasted for nothing, And ony for them to unlock my account for 4hrs then permalock it And then Accuse me of Exploiting the ecconomy!!! WTF Total BS, I would never ever do that. 60,000 accounts banned just in june not sure how many since then… All I can say is Keep your fire walls malware protection run virus scans daily (like I did) and pray it doesnt happen to you because when it does Blizzard treats you like a cancer and gives no thought what soever to your losses or you. Its a pretty shity feeling Is like when parents get arrested for there own children missing BS. You dont even get time to be upset for your loss. Hope never happens to any of you Good Luck.

I have been permanently banned today for being “involved with online trading activities” WTF does any of that mean I have been playing wow for a while now and my main is a lv 16 troll rogue (low lv coz i only get t gon on it on wednesday for 3 hrs). I put my heart and soul into that char and it gets taken away from me for **** all and I have read the terms and conditions and the user agreement when i agreed to it and i have not violated any part of it. If there are any blizzard employees out there you dont know what you are doing to people and instead of your seemingly “ban now and ask later” policy you should investigate then inform the account owner instead of wasting other peoples time with your bull.
